Daegu
On Saturday we took a bus down to Daegu to meet up with an old friend of ours (who also went to TKUC). On the bus ride there we saw Korean mountains blanketed in bright snow, and it made us think of Christmas, home, and the beauty of winter. The pictures I took from the bus window don't really capture the awe-inspiring scenes we saw, but I'll post one anyway!
When we met up with James, he took us to a fantastic little restaurant that serves the best pasta we've tasted in months! We are convinced it's the best in Korea :) Dan had spicy seafood pasta, I had a crab and cream sauce pasta, and James had a chicken and tomato dish.
After lunch we spent the rest of the day exploring downtown Daegu- including the herbal medicine market, the downtown clothing store district (Dan got some new jeans that actually fit him), and a few bookstores that carry English books. All in all, according to Dan, 'it was a pleasant day.' :)

I am going around and wishing as many folks as I can a 'MERRY CHRISTMAS'.
Love,
GRANNY.
I guess we have to come down sometime and see the scenery for ourselves
Happy and a blessed Christmas and new year to both of you.
