Royal Barges National Museum

The highlight of our not-so exciting river boat tour was this museum. These impressively decorated royal boats were historically used for ceremonial processions along the river. Each barge is intricately ornamented with gold leaf, rhinestones, and mirrors. The creatures and figures on the bows are taken from Hindu-Buddhist mythology.
